Today the winners of the D&AD Student Awards 2012 were finally live and visible on the site. Awesomely two of my friends and fellow NUCA students were successful in the illustration category, which was the little white lies cover brief.
The cover on the left is by Stacey Knights, who I’ve been lucky enough to collaborate with on a packaging project, which has worked out very well. Really love her style of work, and that tie/chess-piece idea is a winner!
The cover on the right is by my housemate Rupert, I reblogged his unfinished version of this recently when it was on the tumblr radar! But this is the final one, ridiculously good drawing. He just launched his website too so have a look at that; http://rupertsmissen.co.uk/
